  1. Windows 95 wallpaper logo - W95WALL.BMP

  4. If you like the new Windows 95 logo, use this BMP image of the logo as
  5. the wallpaper for your desktop.

  7. I adapted this from the full-screen logo that comes with Win 95 (not
  8. the start-up one). I just like to remind myself that I'm running
  9. Windows 95 - as if I needed a reminder!

  11. This BMP was edited in Win 95 Paint. I opened the original WIN95.BMP
  12. logo file to capture the central part, ie, the logo itself. I then
  13. masked out the surrounding area and filled it with a custom colour, in
  14. the same colour as I have my monitor config'd for (at 800x600x256):

  16. Hue:           141
  17. Saturation:    171
  18. Luminance:     191
  19.  
  20. Red:           166
  21. Green:         202
  22. Blue:          240
  23.  
  24. That's so when I use the wallpaper centred, all I see is the actual Win
  25. 95 logo precisely centred on the screen with the surrounding area
  26. blending-in precisely to my desktop.

  30. PS: Neat touch with Win 95 Paint - you can set wallpaper directly from
  31. within the program with options in the File menu.
